performance outcomes based on scientific studies. Elite athletes and research surgeons are unwilling to settle for less or wonder if they could have done better. They want to be sure they are achieving the best possible results. When we feed a person who cannot eat using IV (intravenous) nutrition for 20 or more years of their life, we have to provide what is right nutrition or we will not succeed. Athletes are unwilling to sacrifice a season of competition to a nutrition program that does not work – it could cost them their career or an Olympic medal. Athletes need to know that what they are doing is best.
